Back Bar to Lose Liquor License For A Month

Janesville Police have reached an agreement with Back Bar after an incident where shots were fired in the parking lot caused a review on whether or not the county music venue should be allowed to keep its liquor license according to a release. In November 2019 gunshots were fired after a private event in the parking lot causing the Janesville Police Chief to file a complaint with Janesville’s Alcohol Licensing and Advisory Committee. Back Bar’s liquor license will be suspended from April 1st to May 1st and that the owners will enforce written rules stating that events will not allow smoking inside, drug use, guns or alcohol at the bar. If they would like to host a private event an application must be passed on to the Janesville Police Dept for screening.
