A Beloit woman who allegedly pointed a gun at a police officer was arrested Friday. Alice Vinson was arrested for pointing a firearm at a law enforcement officer and endangering safety with the use of a dangerous weapon while intoxicated. The incident occurred Friday night around 9pm when police went to Vinson’s home to make contact on an unrelated case, when the officer arrived and identified himself she pulled the curtain back and was pointing a gun at the officer. Once she confirmed it was police she surrendered with no further incident and was arrested. No court date has been set.
