Watertown to Submit Application for Highway Safety Improvement Program Grant

At the Watertown Common Council meeting earlier this week, they approved a resolution to submit a Highway Safety Improvement Program (HSIP) Grant application for Welsh Road at the State Trunk Highway 26 Bypass Overpass. The State and Federal cost share for the project may not exceed 90% of eligible costs, and City staff has estimated that eligible project costs will be approximately $85 thousand. State and Federal cost share will be approximately $76.5 thousand, and the City’s cost share will be approximately $8.5 thousand.
