Watertown to Apply for Operating Grant from Wisconsin Department of Transportation

At the Tuesday evening Watertown Common Council meeting, the board discussed applying for an operating grant from the Wisconsin Department of Transportation. The grant money would be in support of the shared-ride taxi service in Watertown, and would be in the amount of $863,213. The application is due to the Department of Transportation by December 10. Additionally, the city of Watertown will also be applying for a capital grant in 2022 for the shared-ride taxi service in the amount of approximately $105,000. This grant money would be used to purchase one minivan and one accessible minibus to replace two older vehicles in the fleet.
