According to the Village of Johnson Creek Newsletter, the village has received a grant of $100,000 from the Watertown Community Health Foundation that the village can use for the improvement of parks, walkability, and other outdoor projects. The village has recommended three projects for the grant, which include the replacement of the damaged playground equipment for 2–5-year-olds at Bell Park, constructing sidewalks from Wright Rd. to the new bathrooms at Bell Park and continuing the sidewalk from the bathroom to the playground area, and planning and constructing a path and boardwalk from Grey Hawk Subdivision to Hunters Glenn Subdivision. More information on how the grant will be utilized is soon to come.
