UW-Whitewater Professor to Receive Statewide Honor

According to the University of Wisconsin Whitewater, professor Pilar Melero, professor of languages and literatures, was selected for the 2021 University Lifetime of Service Award from the State Council on Affirmative Action. This is a statewide honor, and she was selected for dedicating her over 20 year career in education to advocating for minority communities and serving as a positive mentor, resource, and ally to all students and staff. Melero graduated from UW-Whitewater in 1988 with a double major in Spanish and Journalism.
