In an update from the Elkhorn Area Chamber of Commerce, they have provided additional information on the US Highway 12 construction project. For the week of May 9, US Highway 12 will remain open in a bi-directional configuration. Eastbound and westbound traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction between US Highway 50 in Lake Geneva and the County Trunk Highway NN interchange in Elkhorn. The State Trunk Highway 120 on-ramp to westbound US Highway 12 closure will continue until mid/late July. The closure of Sheridan Springs Rd. over US Highway 12 will continue until mid-May, and the closure of Springfield Rd. over US Highway 12 will continue until mid-June.
During the week of May 9, concrete pavement repairs and patching will continue through the week, and concrete joint repair and deck repairs will continue on the Springfield Rd. bridge.
