According to an update from the Elkhorn Area Chamber of Commerce and Tourism Center regarding the U.S. Highway 12 project, this week bridge painting at the Springfield Road bridge and box culvert work is continuing. Next week, concrete base patching work is anticipated to begin, and grading for guardrail safety enhancement areas will begin next week. Culvert pipe and storm sewer repairs will begin mid-week.
U.S. Highway 12 remains open in a bi-directional configuration; eastbound and westbound U.S. Highway 12 is reduced to one lane in each direction between US Highway 50 in Lake Geneva to County Trunk Highway NN Interchange in Elkhorn. The eastbound U.S. Highway 12 off-ramp to State Trunk Highway 120 will be closed until mid/late October.
