According to an update from the City of Janesville, a contractor working for the city will soon begin making repairs to segments of concrete pavement along Humes Road and Milton Avenue.
The work will occur at various locations in the eastbound lanes of Humes Road between Kennedy Road and Milton Avenue and in the southbound lanes of Milton Avenue between Humes Road and Holiday Drive.
The contractor will typically stage repairs such that only one lane of Humes Road or Milton Avenue will be closed at a time. The concrete repair work will take approximately five weeks to complete.
Individual lane closures will typically last for one week or less. Access to businesses will be maintained throughout the construction. Drivers are encouraged to reduce speeds in the work zones and stay alert to changing traffic patterns.
