According to an update from the City of Jefferson, several street repairs are scheduled for the next three weeks.
On July 11-12, North Main St./Bus 26 (north of the Puerner St. intersection) will be closed. On July 11, the pavement will be removed, prepped for concrete, and temporarily filled back with gravel. A portion of the northbound lane will be closed while repairs are being made and flaggers will direct traffic. Both lanes will be reopened for traffic for the day after the gravel is placed. On July 12, the temporary gravel will be removed and concrete will be poured. A portion of the northbound lane will be closed while repairs are made and concrete is poured. Flaggers will direct traffic until both lanes are reopened to traffic at approximately 6 p.m.
On July 13, a storm sewer pipe will be repaired within Wisconsin Dr. Wisconsin Dr. will be temporarily closed in the morning between W. Riverview Dr. and Linden Dr. while repairs are made by the City’s contractor. The road should be fully reopened by the early afternoon.
On July 26, asphalt crews will be onsite completing street repair patches for previously repaired water main breaks and storm sewer repairs. All asphalt work is expected to be completed on July 26 . Public Works crews will be prepping these patches on July 25:
