Upcoming City Manager Recruitment Public Input Day in Janesville

According to an update from the City of Janesville, they are undertaking a national search to hire the next City Manager, and are looking for input from the public to determine desirable traits and qualities.

The City is inviting community members to join in an upcoming City Manager Recruitment Public Input Day on Tuesday, November 1, in the Council Chambers at City Hall (18 N. Jackson St.). The day will consist of four input sessions:

Business/Industry/Financial Institutions – 10 to 11:30 a.m.

City Employees and Union Representatives – 1 to 2:30 p.m.

Community Partners – 3 to 4:30 p.m.

General Public – 6 to 8 p.m.

All sessions are open for the public to attend. However, the designated time for community-wide feedback is the General Public session. The forums will allow stakeholders to speak directly with the executive search firm assisting in the recruitment process. Feedback shared at the session will help to construct a candidate profile.

In addition to the Input Day, community members may continue to share their perspectives by completing the City Manager Recruitment Community Survey at www.janesvillewi.gov/cmsurvey.

For questions, contact City Human Resources Director Tara Semenchuk at semenchukt@ci.janesville.wi.us or (608) 755-3082.
