U.S. Department of Education Recognizes Local Schools as National Blue Ribbon Schools

In a press release from the U.S. Department of Education, Secretary Miguel Cardona has recognized 297 schools across the United States as National Blue Ribbon Schools, with two of those schools being in our listening area. The School District of Jefferson’s Sullivan Elementary School was recognized, as was Elkhorn Area School District’s Tibbets Elementary School. The recognition is based on a school’s overall academic performance or progress in closing achievement gaps among student subgroups.
