Two teenagers were arrested after fleeing from police in a stolen car according to a news release. Janesville Police officers were dispatched to North Pontiac Dr on a report of subjects going through cars, presumably to steal property. A Vehicle description was given and officers located the car in a parking lot in the area. When officers attempted to stop the vehicle they fled from officers and a vehicle pursuit was initiated on the vehicle which was reported stolen out of Illinois. The pursuit lasted about 15 minutes in the village Green area and during the pursuit one of the officers was able to deploy stop sticks which deflated the tires of the car and forced the vehicle to stop. The 3 occupants of the car fled on foot with two of the occupants taken into custody after a short foot chase, the third subject was never located. The two occupants that were caught are both 14 years old and charged with resisting an officer and being an occupant in a stolen vehicle, they were both released to family.
