Solar Panels Installed at Jefferson Fire and EMS Facility

wsld77

The Jefferson Fire and EMS facility recently saw the installation of solar panels to their building. Greg Hoffmann, Senior Energy Services Manager for Jefferson Utilities, discussed the solar panels further. He said the panels supply about 32 thousand kilowatt hours of energy, which will displace about 38% of their usage. It's the amount of energy that would supply about four average Wisconsin homes in the course of a year, and it will save them about $3,600 annually. The solar panels were able to be installed when Jefferson Fire and EMS applied for and received a $20 thousand grant through WPPI Energies, which serves Wisconsin as well as areas in Michigan and in Iowa.
