Slow-No-Wake Status Removed from Rock River

According to a press release from the Rock County Sheriff's Office, they will be removing the slow-no-wake status on the Rock River. The water level for Lake Koshkonong is at 7.99 feet. County Ordinance allows for an abeyance of the slow-no-wake speed restriction on the Rock River between Lake Koshkonong and the Indianford Dam when water levels are 8 feet or less on Lake Koshkonong.


The water level for the Rock River is 6.49 feet. County Ordinance allows for an abeyance of the slow-no-wake speed restriction on the portion of the Rock River downstream from the Indianford Dam to the W B R Townline Road Bridge when water levels are 6.5 feet or less. Thus, the Rock County Sheriff’s Office is removing the previously declared slow-no-wake speed restrictions. Deputies removed slow-no-wake signs along the Rock River at all public access points between Lake Koshkonong and the W B R Townline Road Bridge. With this abeyance, the entire Rock River in Rock County, Wisconsin, is without a slow-no-wake speed restriction.
