Aging playground equipment in the Village of Sharon will soon get an upgrade. The LGRN says that community donations fueled the project, which will have the playground equipment in Goodland Park replaced. The village had been discussing replacing the equipment for several years. The equipment last updated in 1986 will be removed, and the playground will be expanded. The village’s streets and parks committee, made up largely of parents, was part of the community effort that accelerated the project.
