School District of Beloit Makes Progress in Superintendent Search

According to an update from the School District of Beloit, the board of education recently met to review the credentials and submitted applications for the position of Superintendent. The board selected six applicants for first round interviews that were held yesterday and today. Tonight, the board will select applicants as finalists to interview for the position of superintendent, and develop questions for the final round of interviews. The final round of interviews for selected finalists will be on Wednesday, September 21. On that evening, there will be formal interviews with the School District of Beloit Board of Education and community/staff forums.


Background and reference checks for superintendent finalists will be conducted by the School District of Beloit Board of Education members between September 21 and September 27.


The School District of Beloit Board of Education will meet on September 27 to discuss the final selection for the position of superintendent. After selection of a finalist the negotiation of the superintendent contract will begin. After the superintendent contract is negotiated and finalized, the selection of the final candidate for superintendent will be announced by the School District of Beloit Board of Education and the contract will be brought to the Human Resources Committee meeting for approval.


After the School District of Beloit Board of Education has approved the contract for the hire of the new superintendent, a start date will be announced. Future meeting dates will be planned where the School District of Beloit Board of Education and the new superintendent will further define goals, expectations, and identify superintendent/board development opportunities.
