According to a Rock County Press Release, Rock County has shifted from a low to medium COVID-19 community level. This has been determined by criteria set by the CDC. Rock County’s current rate of approximately 275 cases per 100,000 over the last 7 days (as of 5/10/22) is above the CDC’s threshold, which means the county is experiencing moderate COVID-19 transmission. However, these rates are ten times lower than rates experienced in January. Additionally, since the beginning of April, Rock County Hospitals have averaged about 6 patients per day receiving care for COVID-19 and fewer than 2% of available beds have been occupied by COVID-19 patients.
