According to a press release from Rock County Human Services, they are accepting applications for $3 million in American Rescue Plan Act grant funds to combat homelessness in Rock County. Earlier this year, the Rock County Board of Supervisors allocated $3 million of ARPA funds to be reserved for the implementation of a matching grant program that will encourage local development of programs to help the homeless. Community non-profit organizations or municipalities in Rock County are eligible to submit applications for these funds. Proposed initiatives must focus on creating new and/or expanding existing services to serve homeless individuals or families and support homelessness prevention efforts. Applications must be submitted by September 26 by 5 p.m. to be considered.
