Palmyra Eagle Middle/High School Art Teacher Selected as Art Teacher of the Month

According to an update from the Wisconsin Art Education Association, Palmyra Eagle Middle/High School teacher Krystina Fuhher was selected as Art Teacher of the Month. She was nominated by District Vice-Principal Joel Tortomasi. Fuhher is originally from Beloit, and began teaching in Palmyra in Fall of 2019.

In addition to being the art teacher, she is also the Yearbook Advisor. She has hosted the Trailways Conference Traveling Art Show and grown the Visual Art program within the high school while enabling middle school students to find the artist inside of themselves. The biggest project that stands out is her organization of a community art mural for which students had to submit designs. Krystina guided students as they painted three different portions of the entire façade of a major downtown business; recognizing and honoring the history of Palmyra and its famous healing waters.
