One Injured In Brodhead Crash; Cited For Distracted Driving

A 56-year old man was transported to the hospital after a Monday accident in Brodhead in Rock County. According to the Brodhead Police Department, The man hit a utility pole in the 1400 block of STH 11 just before 6:15 AM. The road reopened around 11:15. Police determined that distracted driving led to the crash, with police saying the driver was reaching for his cell phone and crossed the center line. The southbound lanes of Highway 11 were closed and a detour was set up for utility repairs. The driver, who had non life-threatening injuries, was cited for inattentive driving.
