Officer Ryan Walters Presented with Lifesaving Award at Fort Atkinson City Council Meeting

At this week’s Fort Atkinson City Council meeting, officer Ryan Walters was presented with a Lifesaving Award. On January 16 of 2022, officers were dispatched to a home with unconscious people, possibly due to a natural gas leak or CO2. Walters was the first on scene, and entered the home and initiated the rescue of an unconscious woman who was in a bedroom. Walters carried her out of the home, and performed life saving actions. The Lifesaving Award program has been around for the past five years, and this is Walters third time receiving the award.
