Multiple Agencies to Train at Luther Preparatory School in Watertown

According to a press release, multiple Sheriff and Police Department agencies will be participating in a joint training event at Luther Preparatory School in Watertown on Wednesday from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Training will be geared towards school safety and lockdown drills; and there will be numerous law enforcement, firefighting, and emergency medical service personnel on the grounds. Some of these individuals will be in camouflage and will have firearms. All firearms will be checked multiple times to ensure they are safe and unloaded. The use of drones, robots, and other public safety tools will be in use around the Luther campus. There will also be fire trucks, ambulances, squad cars, and SWAT vehicles on campus. Participating agencies include the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office, Dodge County Sheriff's Office, Watertown Police Department, Watertown Fire Department, and Dodge County Emergency Management.
