Milton Common Council Approves Replacement of Biosolids Waste Activated Sludge Valves

At this week’s Milton Common Council meeting, they approved the replacement of the biosolids waste activated sludge valves. The existing valves were installed with the wastewater treatment plant upgrades completed in 2001 and need replacement. As Milton sees continued growth, there is an increase in flow to the wastewater treatment plant. The proposed valves allow the operators to divert flow to a second biosolids storage tank when needed before disposal. The total quote to replace four biosolids valves is $12,578.00 and will be funded by the Wastewater Utility.
