Land and Water Conservation Presentation Given to Jefferson County Board

At this week’s Jefferson County Board meeting, the annual presentation was given on Land and Water Conservation. This year, Land and Water Conservation will receive over $188 thousand from the Department of Agriculture for staffing, and last year they received a lake monitoring and protection network grant from the Department of Natural Resources of over $13 thousand. Land and Water Conservation received this grant for the first time last year, but it will be continually received annually.
