According to an update from the Lake Geneva Police Department, on May 16 at about 8 a.m. officers were dispatched to the 200 block of Penny Ln. for a report of an intoxicated subject (later identified as 21 year old Lake Geneva resident Kyle William Santiago) with a knife threatening to kill the family dog.

When officers arrived on scene, they found Santiago in the home after an altercation with a family member, who was now outside. As officers were negotiating the release of the dog, Santiago also threatened to kill law enforcement officers and damaged property in the home. Officers took him into custody and referred charges up to the Walworth County District Attorney’s Office for misdemeanor bail jumping, disorderly conduct, battery, criminal damage to property, endangering safety by use of a dangerous weapon, and threats to law enforcement officers. He was subsequently confined in the Walworth County Jail on the above listed charges.

In a separate incident on April 21, Lake Geneva Police responded to an issue in which Santiago had brought his dog into a bar and threw the dog up against a window.
