According to an update from the Lake Geneva Fire Department, yesterday at about 4:30 p.m. they were dispatched to a report of flames coming out of a chimney in the 900 block of Grant Street. Upon arrival of first units, it was noted that smoke was coming out of the structure. Engine One arrived on scene and went inside. Upon further inspection, Engine One stated that there was no fire within the structure, and everything was contained to the fireplace. Fire in the fireplace was extinguished by firefighters. Crews remained on scene and performed a little bit of overhaul and vented the structure. There are no injuries to report, and the occupants will remain in their residence.
