On Monday, May 8, 2023, Kevin Lahner was sworn in as City Manager of the City of Janesville, Wisconsin, during a special ceremony in the Council Chambers of City Hall.

The City Council selected Lahner to serve as Janesville's eleventh City Manager in March following an extensive recruitment process. He previously served as the City Administrator for the City of Waukesha, Wisconsin, a role he had held since 2015 and managed eight consecutive annual budgets that increased the City's fund balance and improved Waukesha's financial stability.
Before his time in Waukesha, City Manager Lahner served seven years as City Administrator for the City of Burlington, Wisconsin. Preceding this post, he held roles in the communities of Keller, Texas, and Flower Mound, Texas. Mr. Lahner holds a master's degree in public administration from the University of North Texas and a bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.
