According to a press release from the Johnson Creek Fire and EMS Department, last night shortly after 7 p.m. they were dispatched to a house fire, presumably caused by a lightning strike, on Red Fox Dr. Two occupants of the home were able to get out with the assistance of neighbors, and no injuries have been reported. The estimated cost of the damage is between $150-$200 thousand. Fire personnel were able to leave the scene around 9:15 p.m. The fire is still under investigation, and more information may be reported later if it becomes available.
