Jefferson County Board Approves Highway Department to Apply for Funds

Last night at the Jefferson County Board meeting, the board approved the Highway Department to apply for federal Surface Transportation Program (Rural) and Surface Transportation Program (Bridge) for construction funding for the early phase of the new federal infrastructure program. Specifically, funding would support County Highway F from County Highway CI to County Highway B, and County Highway E from County Highway F to the Watertown city limits. The two projects will cost approximately $2,800,000. The funding would cover $122,728 for design and specifications for milling and paving work.
