Janesville Woman Identified In Car Crash Death

The Rock County Medical Examiner’s Department is releasing the name of the individual that died following a motor vehicle crash on April 23.


The crash occurred before 6AM near the intersection of S. County Road D and W. Hanover Road, in the Town of Rock. The individual is be identified as 55-year-old, Susan R. Hohmann from Janesville. According to the initial a press release, the investigation showed a silver 2020 Dodge Durango, driven by 49-year-old Mark D. McCoy of Janesville, crossed the centerline of County Road D and into the path of a southbound black 2012 Chevrolet Equinox. Both vehicles collided in the southbound lane. Ms. Hohmann was pronounced deceased at the scene. A forensic examination confirms that Ms. Hohmann died from injuries sustained in the crash. Mark McCoy was arrested on charges that include homicide by intoxicated use of a motor vehicle. McCoy is scheduled to return to court on Friday (4/28).
