According to an update from the Janesville Police Department, yesterday just before 1 p.m. officers were dispatched to an armed robbery that had occurred at a convenience store located at 1840 Beloit Ave. in Janesville. A man, who was later identified as 28 year old Genoa City resident Kevin Rolseth, entered the store with a shotgun, threatened the employee, and demanded money. He fled from the scene in a vehicle. A short time later, officers located the suspect vehicle, a silver Subaru, in a parking lot on Dupont Dr. Rolseth was arrested for armed robbery and operating a motor vehicle without the owner's consent. He is in custody at the Rock County Jail, pending his initial court appearance. Evidence from the robbery, including the firearm, was located in and around the vehicle. The investigation of this incident is ongoing.
