Janesville Police Respond to Physical Disturbance

According to a press release from the Janesville Police Department, yesterday at about 7 p.m. officers responded to a physical disturbance in the 2300 Block of Harvard Drive. An officer attempted to detain a male, identified as 22 year old Fitchburg resident Marquis Maier. Maier tried to flee into an apartment. An officer took Maier into custody after deploying their taser. During the search of Maier, officers located a loaded firearm in his pocket. He is currently on felony probation in Dane County for Burglary and Harboring/Aiding a Felon.
