According to an update from the Janesville Police Department, over the past weekend they seized nine total guns during three separate investigations.
On June 4 at about 9:10 p.m. Janesville officers executed a search warrant in the 200 block of S. Jackson St. after seeing a known suspect with warrants, Anton May, flee into a residence. During the investigation, seven firearms consisting of two handguns, a revolver, a shotgun, a rifle, and two BB guns were seized. 42 year old Janesville resident Anton C. May was arrested for felon in possession of a firearm, obstructing/resisting an officer, and four counts of bail-jumping. 45 year old Janesville resident Aikisha L. Tyler was arrested for harboring/aiding a felon and obstructing an officer. 51 year old Joliet, Illinois resident Jeffrey A. Mahalick was arrested for felon in possession of a firearm, obstructing/resisting an officer, and possession of drug paraphernalia. This is still an on-going investigation.
On June 5 at about 3:10 p.m. 25 year old Janesville resident Bryon O. Ramos-Colon was stopped for expired registration in the 200 block of N. Franklin St. The investigating officer observed narcotics in plain view and upon further investigation found a concealed handgun in the vehicle. Ramos-Colon was arrested for three counts of bail-jumping, possession of schedule IV narcotics, possession of THC, and carrying a concealed weapon.
Also on June 5 at 11:52 p.m. 23 year old Janesville resident Brillonte L. Harden was stopped for expired registration on N. Parker Dr. and Ba-Wood. The investigating officer observed narcotics in plain view and upon further investigation found a concealed handgun in the vehicle. Harden was arrested for possession of THC, possession of drug paraphernalia, and carrying a concealed weapon.
