According to a press release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Wisconsin, The Janesville Police Department has assisted in a case involving 33 year old Madison resident, James Coney, who was recently sentences to 330 months in federal prison for sex trafficking of minors. This prison sentence will be followed by 25 years of supervised release. On March 1, Coney was convicted of four counts of sex trafficking a minor, one count of sex trafficking a minor by force, one count of attempted sex trafficking a minor, and four counts of transporting a minor from Wisconsin to Illinois for the purpose of prostitution.
