Janesville City Council Approves Addition of Yield Signs

At the Monday night Janesville City Council meeting, the council approved the installation of yield signs on W. Van Buren St. at Linn St. The Engineering Division conducted a traffic study to evaluate the traffic control at the intersection, evaluating traffic volumes, crash records, and operations. The Engineering Division noted the crash history at the intersection satisfies the minimum criteria outlined in the Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices for yield sign control.
