Illinois Residents Cited After Driving Wrong Way down One Way Street in Lake Geneva

According to an update from the City of Lake Geneva Police Department, on October 8 at about 1:45 a.m. an officer was traveling southbound near the 200 block of Cook St. and observed a vehicle traveling the wrong way on a one way street. The officer conducted a traffic stop on W. Main St. at Cook St. The driver, 26 year old Cicero, Illinois resident, Diana A. Garcia Franco, was issued citations for keeping open intoxicants in a motor vehicle, operating without a valid license, driving against traffic, and possession of drug paraphernalia. The passenger, 18 year old Greenwood, Illinois resident, Makayla R. Moore Navarro, was issued citations for possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and underage drinking.
