Green County Sheriff's Office Responds to Crash Involving Evansville Man

According to a press release from the Green County Sheriff’s Office, on Saturday at about 2:45 p.m. deputies responded to the N7300 block of County Trunk Highway D in the Town of Mount Pleasant for a two vehicle crash. The investigation revealed that a vehicle operated by 40 year old Albany resident, Erin E Keyes, was southbound on County Trunk Highway D. Another vehicle operated by 73 year old Evansville resident, Allan L. Hurst, was westbound on Nye Road. Hurst failed to yield the right-of-way from a stop sign, and struck Keyes.


Keyes reported non-life-threatening injuries and was wearing her seatbelt. Keyes passengers reported no injuries and were wearing their seatbelts. Hurst and his passenger reported no injuries and were wearing their seatbelts. Both vehicles sustained functional damage and were driven from the scene. There was no airbag deployment in either vehicle. Hurst was cited for Fail to Yield Right of Way from a Stop Sign and was released pending court.
