According to a press release from Governor Tony Evers, he and the Wisconsin Department of Transportation announced yesterday that the first round of local road funding from the federal Bipartisan Infrastructure Law will provide $35 million in funding to support 40 projects throughout the state. This funding targets rural areas and urban areas with fewer than 50 thousand people. Contracts for the projects will be determined this fall for spring construction. Projects included in the funding include Market St. from WIS 11 to WIS 67 in Elkhorn, Collins Rd. from Wisconsin Dr. to Hillside Dr. in the City of Jefferson, N. Fourth Street from Jones St. to Center St. in the City of Watertown, Milwaukee Ave. from Tuet Rd. to County W in the City of Burlington, and County E from County F to South Concord Ave. and County F from County CI to County B in Jefferson County.
