Fort Atkinson Man Dies After Vehicle Accident

According to a press release from the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office, on April 25 at about 5:30 p.m. they responded to a motor vehicle crash on State Highway 60 east of St. Helena Rd. in the township of Hustisford. Initial investigation showed that 38 year old Fort Atkinson resident, Daniel R. Lewicki, was operating a 2020 Dodge Ram pickup truck that was traveling west on State Highway 60 near Helena Rd. Lewicki traveled over the center of the roadway line, through the eastbound traffic lane, and onto the south shoulder where the vehicle began a clockwise spin. The dodge struck a culvert, vaulted, and overturned. Lewicki was extricated from the vehicle and taken to the hospital in Watertown, but was then transferred by a medical helicopter to UW Hospital in Madison. On April 28, he passed away at the hospital.
