Fort Atkinson Applying for Neighborhood Investment Fund Grant

The City of Fort Atkinson is applying for a Neighborhood Investment Fund Grant in the amount of $4.9 million for the Badgerland After School Enrichment Education Program and redevelopment projects within the city. City Manager, Rebecca Houseman Lemire, discussed just a few areas the grant money would go towards. These include remediation of the BASE site, building improvements, the community kitchen, security, and public infrastructure improvements. The city is expecting to hear if the grant money has been awarded in December.
