Elkhorn Man Facing Neglecting a Child Charge After Child Found in a Vehicle

According to an update from the Lake Geneva Police Department, on July 16 at about 9:30 p.m. officers were dispatched to the Cook Street municipal lot for a report of a child that had been left alone in a vehicle. As officers were attempting entry into the vehicle, a group of males approached. One of the males stated he was the vehicle owner and that he knew there was a child in the car. Charges have been referred up to the Walworth County District Attorney’s Office on the 27 year old Elkhorn resident, Nathan James Ledger, for resisting/obstructing an officer and neglecting a child.
