City of Whitewater Provides Update on Lakes Drawdown Project

According to an update from the City of Whitewater regarding the lakes drawdown project, no work is scheduled for today or tomorrow due to warm temperatures and snow. Work will continue Wednesday-Saturday, and with work to finish Saturday by 7 p.m. All work is dependent on weather and worksite conditions. On Cravath Lake, construction crews will continue to lay down matting on the lake bed to prepare for dredging. Due to a few wet areas, mats have been put in a variety of places along the dredging area. Dredging will start as soon as enough frost builds up in the ground along the dredging area. On Tripp Lake, mats have been put into place and dredging should begin on Wednesday. Dredged material will be hauled through the southeast directly to Highway 12.
