City Of Janesville Construction Announcements; Beach To Close Monday

The City of Janesville is working on a few more lead service line replacements, set for next week. The city will work on the following locations: Sherman Avenue from Prairie Avenue to Milton Avenue, Randall Avenue from East Holmes to Ruger Avenue and East Memorial Drive from Prairie Avenue to Caroline Street. There will be construction impacts in these locations and traffic will resume as normal upon completion.

Janesville will also close Beloit Avenue and Crosby Avenue to through traffic beginning Tuesday. The Crosby Avenue project will take about six weeks for pavement and curb and gutter replacement, while Beloit Avenue will be closed from Reuther Drive to East Delavan Drive and will take approximately five days. East Conde Street will also have construction impacts. A detour will be set up at Reuther Way and South Jackson Street.

The city also announced that Lions beach will be closed for the season on Monday. The splash pad will remain open until September 12 and the Bubbler until mid-October.
