According to an update from the City of Fort Atkinson regarding the Robert Street Bridge reconstruction project, the formwork and decking has been installed, and rebar placement for the deck has been started. The current goal is for the main bridge deck to be poured this Thursday, depending on the weather. On Thursday, motorists should be alert and watch for ready-mix trucks entering and exiting the site at each end of the bridge. These trucks will be hauling in over 45 loads of concrete, weighing roughly 1.8 million pounds of mix. There will also be concrete surface repairs on-going at the piers, so boat traffic should watch for barges on the move. There will be some flagging for concrete trucks on Thursday at adjacent intersections. Roadway traffic patterns will remain the same.
