The City of Burlington has announced its compost site will open on April 3. Weather permitting, the site at Maryland Avenue will open and remain free of charge to Burlington residents. Residents will be asked to provide identification that they are a City of Burlington resident. There will be an attendant on site at all times, according to the city. Contractors who use the site must register and pay a volume fee. The site will be open from 8 AM to 4 PM on Saturday, and on Tuesdays from 2 PM to 8 PM.
