City of Burlington Addresses Odors Caused by Maryland Ave. Project

According to a post from the City of Burlington, WI, the utility work that is being done on Maryland Ave. has caused landfill odors in the area. That part of the road was constructed on top of an unlicensed landfill, but waste material has been hauled off site for landfill disposal. The city is working with staff from the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources to develop a plan to safely dispose of the waste material within the City of Burlington Landfill.
