The City of Beloit has seen an increase in vehicle warm up thefts during the winter months, and the police department is advising how to avoid your vehicle being stolen during the warm up process. The department says that the best way to avoid this from happening is to avoid leaving your vehicle running while you’re away from it, even if it's in front of your home. Park your car in a busy and well-lit area, locked, with valuables out of sight. If you have any information on vehicle thefts, contact the GBACS at 608-362-7463 or leave an anonymous tip through P3.
