According to an update from the Beloit Police Department, on Friday evening officers investigated two shots fired complaints; one at Bayliss and Nelson Ave. and one at a home in the 1600 block of Dewey Ave. This residence was the suspects home, who was later identified as Refugio J. Guerra. Evidence collected at both scenes showed links between the two incidents. Guerra was observed at both scenes in a vehicle, and left his home on Dewey Ave. when officers arrived. Officers stopped his vehicle and obtained a search warrant for his home where the shots fired occurred. Officers located a large quantity of marijuana, U.S. Currency, a scale, and baggies. Guerra admitted that the items found in the home were his. He was arrested for possession with intent to deliver and maintaining a residence for drug trafficking.
