Beloit Police Arrest Two Twelve Year Old Vehicle After Pursuit

A vehicle pursuit ending with police using stop sticks resulted in the arrest of 2 12 year old's according to Beloit Police. Officers attempted to make a traffic stop at eighth street and West Grand Ave but the car fled the scene and police lost contact. About 15 minutes later the car was spotted swerving near Bluff Street and Highland Ave, police deployed the stop sticks and were able to stop the car. A 12 year old boy was arrested for fleeing an officer, the boy was not charged for auto theft because it was learned he was driving a relative's car. A 12 year old girl in the car was cited for curfew violation, there were also 2 11 year olds and a 7 year old in the car according to police. The kids were returned to their parents and no court date was set.
